7/14/2024: Sneaker Drive Fundraiser
The Hawk Band is now set up to participate in a Sneakers Recycling Program. Starting 15 July 2024, bring in your used/reusable sneakers and place them in the bin/box located in the band hall. These sneakers will then be shipped off and a dollar value will be determined based on the GotSneakers guidelines. This value is the fundraising amount that the band will receive per pair of athletic sneakers collected. Volcano Vista Hawk Band Required Student Supply List for 2024-25
Marching Uniform provided by VVHS.
Marching gloves (all except guard and percussion) purchased through band boosters.
Two pairs of athletic shoes with good arch support so can rotate use, does not have to be name brand.
Drawstring bag to keep shoes in the locker.
Hawk band water koozie with water bottle.
One pair of marching band shoes, fitted at the end of designated band camp day (winds and percussion only).
Five white and/or gray t-shirts for marching band practice, considered SPF protective.
Long length black socks, over the calf three pair
One set of fatigues, recommend two so can wash one and have another ready to wear from band boosters.
Sunscreen for body, face and ChapStick with sunscreen.
Sunglasses
Hat
Blue jeans, one pair at least that are plain, traditional, non “washed” blue color, no tears, no holes.
Pencils
Guard-coordinate with the Guard Director for your shoes and uniforms.
Hawk Band in the Community
06/22/24: Today's donation drive in support of those affected by the fires in Ruidoso was very successful. We had a great turnout and nearly filled the 10 ft U-haul truck. Donations were then delivered and handed over to Sagebrush Church for transport to the areas where they are needed most. We appreciate all of our supporters who dropped by donations! We can do great things and make a difference when we pull together and take action.

Parents and students needing more information regarding our ensembles and opportunities about becoming a part of the Hawk band, check out our Concert Band, Jazz Band, Vanguard Visual, Marching Band Ensembles.
The program is highly successful and award winning. Meet the motivated instructional staff. Students can find more information regarding expectations in the student handbook.
