Vanguard Visual Ensemble
The Vanguard Visual Ensemble is a dedicated group of Volcano Vista HS students who's performance specialties include dance, theatrical performance, equipment manipulation, and any elements needed to enhance the Visual Performance of the Hawk Band. Depending on the semester, the VVE will perform in conjunction with the Marching Band or as a unique performance ensemble.
Fall
The VVE works in conjunction with the VVHS Marching Band to create a the competitive Varsity Ensemble known at the "Hawk Marching Band". These performers enhance the visual performance of the ensemble through their use of equipment, dance elements, and stage performance skills. This ensemble generally tells the story of the Marching band through their use of colors, characterizations and uniforms.
Spring
During the spring, the VVE becomes their own competitive ensemble, competing in the world of "Winter Guard". These performances take place indoors and work to refine the individual performer. This time of year, usually will see advanced usage of equipment such as rifles and sabres in addition to the traditional flags.
